According to the Bylaws, proposed revisions and additions must be voted on by the general membership and pass with a vote of two-thirds majority.  To all DCAAA members and AAAA members, it is highly encouraged to participate in this voting process, as this new online voting policy allows all members to contribute their opinion to the AAAA.

Please go to www.anesthetist.org and vote under the "Members Only Section."  Paper ballots are available by request.  The viewing period will be set from May 13th, 2013 to June 11th, 2013.  Questions will be answered by the Bylaws and Ethics Committee, and all comments and questions must be posted by June 11th, 2013.  On June 12th, 2013 voting will be open to all eligible members until June 25th, 2013.

It is encouraged that all DCAAA members participate in this voting process as it is your right to voice your opinion on the matter and submit your vote.  Representation from DCAAA members is imperative as we should all support the survival of our profession.

According to the package inserts for both propofol and Diprivan, strict aseptic techniques should be used in preparing and administrating the agents. The agents and vials should be disinfected with 70% isopropyl alcohol prior to administration. Do you swab the propofol vial before use?
